Our story

Founders Kris and Gavin first met as 11-year-olds when they joined the same youth football team in Bedfordshire. Soon after, they moved to the same secondary school and quickly became firm friends. Over the years, their paths took them in very different directions — one to the corporate world, the other to the stage — but both were building complementary expertise in one universal skill: confidence under pressure.

Meet Gavin

Gavin is an Olivier-nominated actor with a career spanning over 25 years on stage and screen. He trained at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts gaining a BA Hons in Acting. His theatre credits include many leading roles in the West End such as playing Francis in One Man Two Guvnors for The National Theatre, King George in Hamilton, Guys and Dolls (Olivier Nomination), and Charles Ingram in James Grahams Quiz. Company, Carousel and 1984.

Now, Gavin brings his deep understanding of performance, presence and audience connection into the training room — helping others step into the spotlight with confidence.

Meet Kris

Kris has spent more than two decades building a successful career in the insurance and financial services sector, working across the UK and Switzerland in senior leadership and commercial roles. A graduate of Swansea University, he has extensive experience leading teams, developing talent and operating in environments where clear communication, credibility and confidence are essential to success.

Throughout his career, Kris has worked with professionals at every stage of their journey and has seen first-hand how self-doubt, imposter syndrome and fear of being judged can prevent talented people from reaching their full potential. He understands the challenges of presenting ideas, influencing stakeholders and stepping into leadership roles, particularly when the pressure is on.

Kris is passionate about helping individuals build the confidence to communicate with impact, strengthen their executive presence and perform at their best in professional settings — using skills that are often taught to actors, but equally powerful in the workplace.

For both Kris and Gavin, Changing Stages represents a personal and professional pivot: combining decades of business insight and performance expertise into a unique, actor-led approach to personal development.

Together, they help professionals build the confidence to perform when it matters most.
